[Twin Heroines Guard the Mountain, Sharing Their Lives with a Nine-Tailed Spirit Fox!] Changbai Mountain holds the spiritual breath of nine lineages and conceals secrets guarded for a thousand years. A battle between good and evil over the spiritual source of heaven and earth is about to begin.
Lingxi, the orphaned heir of the mountain-guarding lineage, unexpectedly awakens the spiritual breath of the ice lineage. A bronze pattern appears in her palm, the ancient treasure Mountain-Guarding Jade recognizes her as its master, and she encounters Xue Tuan, a spirit pet with humanlike intelligence and the spiritual flame of plants and trees: a young nine-tailed snow fox. Her fate is changed forever. To unlock the spiritual contracts of the nine lineages and protect Changbai’s secret realm, she ventures through dangerous lands, tracing her origins in the Frozen Marrow Abyss and breaking formations at the Crimson Flame Peak. She gradually fuses the spiritual breaths of the metal, ice, fire, and wood lineages, transforming from a bewildered orphan into the heir to the mountain-guarding legacy.
Her path is fraught with danger. Mo Yuan, leader of the Mysterious Fiends, covets the spiritual source of the nine lineages and schemes to plunge Changbai into chaos, while the Qingyun Sect harbors a conspiracy that closes in at every turn. In their hour of need, Su Qingyue, peerless in spiritual-pattern formations, gives them her all. The two heroines fight side by side. Lingxi wields the Mountain-Guarding Jade to draw upon the spiritual breath of heaven and earth, suppressing evil and breaking fiendish forces. Su Qingyue uses the Qingxuan Sword to slay demons and dispel evil, deftly resolving one crisis after another. Xue Tuan purifies evil with its spiritual flame, staying by its master’s side at every step, while a World Tree sapling guides them in their search for the source of the spiritual veins.
The two brave the Azurewood Miasma Forest and break through natural mazes, resisting evil and exposing layer upon layer of conspiracy. Guided by the belief that “to guard the mountain is to guard the heart,” they grow stronger along the way, vowing to gather the spiritual breath of all nine lineages, keep Changbai’s lands safe, uncover the thousand-year-old secrets of the mountain-guarding lineage and the nine spiritual breaths, and write a legendary tale of immortal heroes, with two heroines joining forces and a spirit pet at their side.
