The novel tells the story of Yu Zecheng's espionage epic after 1949 when he was ordered to lurk. From Guangzhou to Kunming, he dealt with special agents such as Yan Ming and Zhao Liren, secretly passing on city defense information and instigating the rebellion of police chief Cheng Changqing. He witnessed the sacrifice of his comrades in the bloody October, and finally assisted the success of the Kunming Uprising.
After moving to Hong Kong, he got caught up in a three-party espionage war between the Kuomintang, the Communist Party and the United States. He cleverly used a knife to get rid of the internal interrogator killer Lao Han. He also cooperated with the Qiongya Column in Hainan to prevent the scorched earth plan and protected the entire city. However, because of the betrayal by the traitor, comrade "Shark" died heroically.
In the end, Yu Zecheng went to Taiwan to lurk, walking on thin ice under the dual pressure of Wu Jingzhong's protection and Inspector Qin's investigation. He chose to stay and continue fighting, guarding the light alone on this isolated island and completing the ultimate concealment.

I like this book very much and listen to it very much. It reflects that the revolutionary ancestors devoted their whole lives to New China and walked on the edge of the knife every day. The spirit is so great. I pay tribute to the revolutionary soldiers.
This book is so beautiful! It's calm on the surface, but secretly the struggle is fierce, life and death! I can't stop seeing it! Big thumbs up for the author! !
