This isn't palace intrigue or a fight for favor! It's a pure farming story about building a better life for the family!
Gu Jiujiu transmigrates into the body of a village shrew who's nearly fifty, infamous for her foul temper. Her house is bare, and famine has struck.
As soon as she takes over the mess, she's bound to an absurd System: the Favor-Winning Consort System has made a mistake!
While others use their Systems to win favor and flirt with the emperor, all she wants in the wilderness is enough to eat.
The old shrew used to beat and berate her family. Now she cherishes her grandchildren, exploits bugs, finds water, and helps the whole village get by.
Just as life starts looking up, war looms. The System finally returns to normal and orders her to win over the original novel's male lead.
Gu Jiujiu pretends to obey, while doing things her own way. She saved him, didn't she?
System: [You call that saving him?]
Gu Jiujiu: Just tell me, did I save him or not?
