Walking Alone in the Wasteland

In 2032, the "Abyss Rift" event broke out - space cracks connecting to unknown other worlds appeared out of thin air in many places around the world. The "black mist" leaked from the cracks caused 80% of the world's population to mutate into bloodthirsty monsters, and also brought alien energy, causing some survivors to awaken supernatural powers. Five years later, the remaining population of human civilization is less than 10 million, huddled in a handful of survivor strongholds.
