Xia Cheng is sixteen and attends the elite TPC High School. He has a reliable foster brother in GUTS, and parents who are always busy traveling around the world. His family is happy, and his future looks bright.
He thought his life was perfectly ordinary, apart from the occasional strange dreams about “ancient ruins” and “seafood tentacles.”
Until, in a dream, he “fished” the soul of a giant out from beneath the ghost of some “stag beetle”...
And then the world started acting weird.
Why does his foster brother have the same kind of injuries as a Warrior of Light?
Why is there a proposal to study giants hidden in his uncle’s lab?
Even more absurdly, Earth monsters, aliens, the Disaster Bringer, the Dark Ruler... It’s as if all kinds of “guests” have made plans to throw an apocalyptic party on this little planet.
And now, the party has started right on schedule.
Xia Cheng stands in the middle of the chaos, watching with a blank face:
The Giants of Light are fighting among themselves, Earth monsters and humans are brawling, while the real enemy sits in the VIP seats, munching on sunflower seeds as it waits to pick over the bodies.
A profound sense of helplessness wells up inside him.
This world... is doomed.
He looks down at the inexplicable bracelet that has appeared on his wrist,
then looks up at the battlefield, where everything has gone to hell.
Fine.
He takes a deep breath and raises his bracelet.
If talking them down won’t work, he’ll just have to persuade them physically and make them “calm down.”
