Her name is Shen Lingshuang, known throughout the martial world as “A Glimpse of Grace,” and the greatest escort in the land.
From the moment she accepted that “Number One Under Heaven” escort mission ten years ago, she knew she wouldn’t live much longer. Thirteen factions joined forces to ambush her. Her entire escort team was wiped out. With seven saber wounds and three sword wounds, she clutched the treasure map of the former dynasty and leaped from a cliff thousands of feet high.
She survived. A man from a secluded mountain valley rescued her.
His name is Gu Changye. He appears to be a herb gatherer, but in truth he is a deadly poison master feared throughout the martial world. The sole survivor of the massacre at Medicine King Valley, he carries the Myriad Poisons Manual, a book capable of overturning the martial world.
Two people burdened with secrets fell in love in a secluded paradise, cut off from the world.
She thought she could put down her blade; he thought he could forget poison. They had a child, whom they named Nian'an, wishing him a lifetime of peace.
Until the day their enemies came for them.
To seize the treasure map and steal the Myriad Poisons Manual, they kidnapped five-year-old Nian'an.
The child, immune to every poison, clenched his teeth and refused to say a word when they demanded the whereabouts of the two treasures. His last words before falling off a cliff were, “Father, Mother, An'an didn’t tell them!”
When the martial world’s two great secrets come together in one family, when an unyielding blade meets the most yin of poisons, and when two parents set out to save their child
The Soul-Severing Blade is drawn, and the deadly poison unleashed.
The treasure map can overturn the martial world; the Myriad Poisons Manual can destroy heaven and earth.
Now that both are in the hands of one family, what awaits them: endless pursuit, or a chance to rise again from the brink of despair?
A saying goes: “Better to offend the King of Hell than A Glimpse of Grace.”
They forgot to add: “And never provoke a deadly poison master who’d do anything to protect his wife.”
