A Concerto of Moonlight and Imaginary Numbers

Two famous writers with completely different personalities, Xia Die and Qi Xian, meet through Qi Xian’s fan group, unexpectedly become roommates, and eventually become each other’s soulmates. This story focuses on the emotional growth of modern urban women, exploring loneliness, creativity, and the forging of intimate relationships. Urban romance / Writers’ daily lives / Healing girls’ love. Two lonely souls meet in a world built of words and learn to embrace each other under one shared roof.

Qi Xian is the “chatty author” who’s always active in the fan group, sharing cat photos and snack reviews every day. Xia Die is the aloof, silent “big shot” who never joins the group chat, occasionally posting a tearjerking update at three in the morning. They’re like parallel lines, until one day Qi Xian starts a “Keep a Sleepless Writer Company” event in the group, and a message from a stranger pops up in her private chat: “I’m Ming He. I can’t sleep.”

From then on, the late-night hours become their shared territory. They talk about writer’s block, childhood trauma, and their fear of intimacy, until one day Xia Die asks, “Want to move in together? I can’t stand being alone anymore.”

And so the story begins: how two people accustomed to loneliness slowly become the most important presence in each other’s lives through a shared refrigerator, staggered schedules, and soy milk at dawn.
