(This story is entirely fictional)
Three perfect locked-room murders have rocked the entire city. There are no signs of a break-in, no murder weapon, and no witnesses. The police are at a loss.
Just as the cases reach a dead end, I, Shen Yizhen, walk into the police station of my own accord and calmly confess: I killed them.
In the interrogation room, I accurately recount every detail of the crime scenes the police have kept from the public. The chain of evidence is airtight, and I admit to the murders without hesitation.
But no one knows that I've never killed anyone.
I confess not to face punishment, not to atone, and certainly not for revenge.
I simply want to use this perfect setup to make them open the case file sealed away ten years ago, to make them see the stranger who died unjustly, and to make them hear testimony that came ten years too late and was never accepted by the world.
