In the 1980s, the lovely Jiang Nian married an officer with a bright future, becoming the envy of every woman as an officer’s wife.
Just as she was secretly congratulating herself, she slipped and fell into a ditch.
The ditch was small and narrow, but it left Jiang Nian drenched and utterly chilled to the bone.
It turned out she was a cannon-fodder character in a novel called "Sweet Wife’s Soft Moans: The Cold Officer’s Adoration".
The male lead in the book was her officer husband. When she thought about how tall, handsome, capable, and family-oriented he was, and realized he belonged to someone else, Jiang Nian felt her whole world collapse.
At first, she wanted to try to salvage things, but when the events in the novel came true one by one, Jiang Nian panicked.
None of the male lead’s cannon-fodder ex-wives in the book had a good ending. Forget it. If she couldn’t take him on, she could at least avoid him.
Jiang Nian decisively chose to divorce him and walk away to save her own life.
But when she looked at Fu Yanning, who held her close night after night and couldn’t get enough of her, Jiang Nian was so exhausted she couldn’t even say the word “divorce.”
Fu Yanning: “You can divorce me only if I’m dead. As long as I’m still breathing, don’t even think about it.”
The story began to veer off course. Not only did Jiang Nian fail to get divorced, but she also ended up pregnant.
The plot is good, but there are too many wrong names, which makes me a little tired.
