Returning with Snowlight

The year the Gu family fell, Gu Mingxiu went from a noble young lady to the daughter of a convicted official. Her father died, her brother was killed, and the whole family was exiled. The man who presided over the case against the Gu family was none other than Shen Yan, a junior official at the Court of Judicial Review, famed throughout the court for his integrity. The Gu family had once shown him kindness.

She hates his cold heart and his claim to justice as he plunged the Gu family into the abyss. But when a bloodstained letter reopens the case, she has nowhere else to turn and knocks on his door once more. Only then does she discover that the old case concealed another case, and that one scheme was hidden within another.

From begging on her knees in the snow to investigating the case at his side, from lingering hatred to risking their lives for each other, they navigate layers of political intrigue and bloody truths. At last, the cold-faced junior official whom everyone praises uses his unblemished integrity and true heart to win justice for the Gu family, and to secure a long-delayed happy ending for himself.
