The Rune Lands were utterly destroyed by the Void, leaving Darius, the Hand of Noxus, as the sole survivor. Carrying out Grand General Swain's final charge, “As long as you live, Noxus will never fall,” he was reborn in the world of Atheran. A mysterious gold coin, formed from a thousand years of Noxian essence, had fused with his soul.
In this strange world, Darius had no money and had lost all his strength. But he discovered that he had awakened the ability to spend coins to summon the heroic spirits of the Rune Lands. The summoning System worked much like a card game: one silver coin for a summon from the standard pool, one gold coin for an advanced pool, and one hundred gold coins for a super pool. The available faction pools changed each week. Summoned heroes had to be raised from scratch, gaining experience and leveling up by defeating enemies, then unlocking skills by increasing their star rank.
Starting with farm work that paid ten copper coins a day, Darius embarked on a path of conquest from the ground up. He would have to fight the Void forces that had followed him, as well as countless powerful invaders from other planes, including the Night, demons, Hell, the insect races, and Heaven. Gold coins could only be earned in the real world: by conquering resource sites, building trade networks, and developing an interplanar economy.
This is an epic tale of responsibility and legacy. Bearing the weight of all Noxus, Darius wages war, conquers, and rules across countless planes. From an ordinary laborer in a border village to an eternal emperor of an interplanar empire, he will use his battle-axe and gold to prove one truth: the spirit of Noxus will never die.
