[Multiple franchises crossover, multiple heroines, mostly slice-of-life, low on hostility]
Other people who transmigrate either end up handsome or get some kind of lucky break. Zhang Haijun, however, transmigrates into a fat guy living in a Beijing courtyard.
He's a plain-looking, short, thoroughly ordinary chubby kid.
From the start, his family arranges for him to work in the canteen at the steel mill and even gets someone to find him a master.
His master's name is He Yuzhu, the most famous cook at the steel mill.
Everyone says he's lucky, but Zhang Haijun knows that no matter how nice this master is to him, he won't teach him anything genuinely useful.
To learn the real skills, Zhang Haijun has no choice but to find another way and turn his attention to He Yushui.
Silly Zhu won't teach me anything worthwhile. Are you sure about that, brother-in-law?
This is the story of a cook who rises to become a factory leader and eventually a restaurant magnate.
The blurb doesn't do it justice. Please check out the story...
The most beautiful thing is this one with a flower stuck on cow dung
This is the first time I read a book about a fat man who traveled through time and became a fat man. There is no book next door about a long man who traveled through time and became a Malaysian Chinese.
I watched it in one go. It's okay. I can watch it. Silly Zhu actually ate western food.
Not bad, well written.
5 Stars Very interesting writing
A great novel
After reading the book for an hour, I really wanted to cry.
