Soul's Edict

The universe is a corpse, and the stars are its festering wounds.

On Black Iron Star, three hundred thousand mine slaves await the reaping of their souls to light the Soul Lamps of the Divine Court.

Deep in the mines, Chen Yuan digs up a bronze mirror. In it, he sees his nine cycles of reincarnation.

Star Lords, holy sons, demon emperors, arhats, an unknown woman...

In every life, he seeks eternal life; in every life, he dies before his journey is done.

In his ninth life, he is a mine slave with only a little time left to live.

In his first, he was a Star Lord of the Divine Court, killed by his Dao companion.

That person has returned through reincarnation, but no longer recognizes him.

And Qingming, the spirit of the mirror, happens to have a face identical to his own.

When the nine fragments are reforged and reincarnation reaches its end, who, in the end, is looking at whom?
