Sleepless on a Tidal Night

[University lecturer × cold-chain company owner]

[Both leads have only ever been with each other + reunion after years apart + rekindled love]

Zhu Shiqiao had a boyfriend in college, the handsome guy with a visual impairment everyone knew.

She was nineteen that year, and he was twenty-one.

They dated for three years, but the year she graduated, she had no choice but to break up with him.

They met again five years later.

He came to a friend's flower shop with a pretty little girl to buy flowers, and Zhu Shiqiao assumed she was his daughter.

When they met again later, she deliberately kept her distance, cool and aloof.

She just couldn't understand why they kept bumping into each other when Spring City was so huge.

Then, on a rainy night, she saw him downstairs once more. He wore a black suit and held a black umbrella, his figure blending into the night.

Under the umbrella, he asked, “Zhu Shiqiao, my eyesight is fine now. Can you come back to me?”

Without hesitation, she folded up her own umbrella and stepped beneath his.

That rainy night, she went home with him, and neither of them slept a wink.

It turned out he had recognized her long ago. It turned out none of those chance encounters had been chance. It turned out he had always loved her.
