I’m timid and weak in the real world, but I dominate the game. A timid, timid convenience store clerk in real life is the game’s undefeated King of Slaughter, crushing opponents with cool-headed intelligence. A new season of the Nightmare series, spanning the entire asymmetrical-game genre, is underway. Gu Yan, the S1 top-ranked King of Slaughter known as “Smiling Face,” accidentally binds to his exclusive character, “Golden Clown,” after losing his memories for three years. Everyone says the Clown is dead: the detective sawed him in half, the Taoist severed his charge, and the Conch blocked his escape. Sewer characters deserve to be forgotten. But they’ve forgotten who once ruled the entire arena with the Clown. When his second personality awakens within him, and the truth behind his father’s disappearance points to the game company, Gu Yan smiles. This time, he’ll make the world remember the terror of being ruled by the Clown.
