Light Beneath the Grain

[Cool and gentle boy × sweet, timid girl|healing each other|sweet and heartbreaking|youthful redemption]

Jiang He is the least noticeable person on campus.

Her family is poor, she is timid and soft-spoken, and she is so insecure she cannot even bring herself to look people in the eye. Like a young grain shoot curled up in a corner, she never dares hope for sunlight.

Then she meets Shen Zhiyan.

The cool, taciturn boy everyone looks up to somehow becomes her own little sun.

He steps in when she is in trouble, stands up for her, and quietly eases all her sensitivities and anxieties.

Rumors, misunderstandings, and the gap between them keep raising barriers, yet he always stands in front of her, giving her all his tenderness.

Only later does Jiang He understand:

From the day they met, his eyes had been fixed on her alone.
