Tales of Old Changmen

A family native to Suzhou lives through the changing eras of the Republic of China, the Liberation, and Reform and Opening Up. As the times change, so do the family members. Spanning five generations, the story follows the family’s rise and fall from the Republic of China to the present day, from birth to work and from love to raising children, painting a sweeping portrait of the fortunes of both the family and the nation.
