Synopsis

What if the Classic of Mountains and Seas became a corrupted System log? The strange beasts of the mountains and seas are runaway processes, and the ancient gods are archaic AIs. The apocalypse is no natural disaster, but a countdown to the System's reformatting. Three insignificant “bugs” race through the data-collapsing primordial world, stealing time privileges and writing logic viruses. Armed with their humanity, they make a final appeal to the supreme protocol. At the Ruins of Return, where all things end, they pit chaos against nothingness and fight to win humanity one chance to reboot its civilization.
