Major rewrite pending! Do not read!
[Small-town story + devoted puppy boyfriend + healing + domestic violence + school life + winning her back + happy ending]
Childhood friends turned lovers
[Insecure, introverted little sad girl] X [Irascible, brooding illegitimate son]
This is not a fast-paced, brainless power fantasy! It focuses on a gradual, slow-burn story. If you like mindless power fantasies, this may not be for you!
Synopsis:
Li Congrong couldn’t remember when she began to grow more and more introverted. People used to call her a lively, adorable child.
Was it the last time someone came to their house to collect a debt?
Or when her father brought home another new mom?
Or when her grades on her tests started slipping?
She couldn’t remember.
But she did remember that her life suddenly brightened because of that boy, Zhou Yu, the illegitimate son of the richest man in town.
Other people only had to glance at him to feel he brought bad luck, and everyone at school avoided him. But Li Congrong felt that beneath his irritable, gloomy exterior lay pain much like her own.
Zhou Yu: “Where do you think people go when they die?”
Li Congrong: “They become stars.”
Zhou Yu: “How do you know?”
Li Congrong: “My grandma told me. She’s up in the sky watching over us, too.”
Insecurity / bittersweet romance / neither can express themselves at first, but they learn to open up later / both are awkward with each other at first, but slowly find their footing! The male lead is 100% devoted.
P.S. Some events in this book are based on real situations, and the real-life person the story is based on has given their consent.
I will ignore it for now and only read four or five chapters before commenting. The writing style of "Small County Town" is good, but even the heroine is too miserable. Her father is not a thing. This tone is destined to be a miserable novel. I don't want to read sadistic stories recently... But the plot is still okay, the characters are okay, and the heroine's baby has a nice name, I like it. Let's wait until it's finished and add bookshelves. 🤦
Everyone, five-star Solitaire 😘
