Three thousand years ago, the Great Collapse erupted. The first generation of Orderers fell as one, and the primal Contract Script shattered on a massive scale, turning into highly contaminating Blight Script. The rules spiraled completely out of control. Regions where gravity reversed, time looped, and cause and effect ran amok spread across the globe. Plants and animals mutated into murderous Blightforms, and humanity could only huddle inside a handful of Order Cities protected by surviving, intact Contract Script. In the apocalypse, darker than the Blighted Lands is the established order that feeds on people.
