The Five Dynasties: I Rely on Technology to Bring Peace to the Land

The world is on the brink of chaos in the Tianyou era at the end of the Tang dynasty. Military governors carve up the realm, warlords rise everywhere, the Khitan move south, and the land is in turmoil. Gu Chang'an is a man from a later age. One day, he transmigrates into this troubled era and becomes an unknown blacksmith. He understands gunpowder, metalworking, and farm tools, but not the human heart. Starting with a ramshackle smithy, he improves farming tools, gathers refugees, forges weapons, and trains an army. While the heroes of the realm fight over the Central Plains, he has already quietly built an iron army. As the Khitan advance south and the Ten Kingdoms clash, he raises his long saber and stands amid the chaos. “If no one can bring peace to this land...” “Then I will.” A story about a new dynasty begins in this age of chaos.
