Journey to the West: A Marriage Tale, I Married Sun Wukong from the Start

“Wukong, let's get married.”

Beneath Five Elements Mountain, Tang Sanzang looked solemn and dignified.

But what he said was shocking, hardly befitting a proper monk.

“Marry me, and I'll set you free.”

Sun Wukong burst out laughing. “You're a man, and I'm a monkey. Tell me, how are we supposed to get married?

“Do you expect me to give you a monkey baby? Hahahaha!”

Tang Sanzang's expression didn't change as he pressed his palms together.

“All beings are equal. Why shouldn't we be allowed to marry?”
