Back to the Palace for Revenge! After Using the Emperor, I Don’t Even Pretend Anymore

[Not a pure romance + palace intrigue + favored heroine + revenge + morally gray heroine]

Nie Weixi * Mo Jingyuan

Nie Weixi should have married the man she loved and lived out her life in quiet happiness.

Her childhood sweetheart had promised that once he returned, he would use his military achievements to ask the emperor for permission to marry her.

But she could not wait. As the illegitimate daughter of the Mingyi Marquis's household, she was destined to be used by her family.

At her stepmother's instigation, her father decided to send her into the palace to win favor for her demoted legitimate elder sister.

She had witnessed her birth mother being killed by her stepmother and elder sister.

Her chance for revenge was right before her eyes, and she was determined to seize it. She deliberately acted docile, then entered the palace as a matter of course.

Because of her family's standing, she was made a Jieyu. But after her elder sister was punished, she too fell out of favor.

She had to avenge her mother! She could not just sit back and wait!

The first time Mo Jingyuan saw Nie Weixi, he thought she was like a fox, her captivating eyes seeming able to ensnare anyone's heart.

He understood Nie Weixi's schemes and calculations, and he didn't care at all. All he cared about was that little bit of sincerity.

Nie Weixi used him to avenge her mother, and he was willing to let her.

But he never expected that once he was no longer useful, Nie Weixi would stop pretending altogether.

The naked truth showed him that the little bit of sincerity he cherished was fake too!
