Antique Appraisal in the 1980s: The Cold-Faced Officer Guards His Heart

One late night in 1982, Lin Jingyue opened her eyes after cultural relic smugglers had silenced her and sunk her in the sea.

Staring down the barrel of a gun, she gave a cold laugh, then smashed a piece of Tang Sancai pottery with her bare hands and accurately named a top-secret underground smuggling network. She cleared the suspect on the spot and made Lu Chen, the customs anti-smuggling team captain pointing the gun at her, narrow his eyes dangerously.

A nationally renowned restorer who had died for her country in her previous life, she was reborn as a sly little fox who talked nonsense and kept everyone guessing. Lu Chen thought he was just keeping tabs on a cunning thief, but after one encounter, he found himself abandoning every last one of his principles.

In a shadowy underground storeroom, the cold, self-restrained man wrapped his arms tightly around her from behind. His large hand covered hers as he pressed down on the trigger, his scorching breath brushing her ear. “Hold it steady, just like you did when you stole my heart.”
