Born carrying memories of a previous life, Ye Xuan returned to the height of summer in 2012, and quietly awakened his System.
He concealed his identity as an invisible business tycoon, gave up his mansion and prestige, and rented a two-bedroom apartment in an old neighborhood, quietly waiting for the girl he was destined to meet.
Nineteen-year-old Bai Lu arrived with a suitcase.
She had failed to make it through an audition show, but her eyes still shone. Clear-headed and independent, neither fawning nor haughty, she only wanted to become an honest actress through her own talent.
Beneath the same roof, their hearts began to stir in secret.
There was always a light left on for her late at night, and a warm drink waiting whenever she was tired. The people making things difficult for her on set were quietly dealt with. Her little habits were gently accepted, her hard work was seen, and her stubbornness was treasured.
He was a business magnate who plotted behind the scenes and commanded the world. From launching a chip project to making Running Man a sensation, from Star Tea’s heartwarming rise to Star Sound’s ascent, he did it all, yet was content to be the quietest, most ordinary roommate by her side.
He never crossed the line, showed off, or acted slick. He simply stood up for her in silence and guarded her without a word.
She was a girl chasing her dreams, growing with every step. From an extra to a leading actress, from film sets to variety shows, she made her way through the entertainment industry on her own merits.
She never manufactured rumors, took shortcuts, or lost sight of her original dreams. She kept moving toward the light, shining brighter with every step.
There was everyday warmth, the passion of chasing dreams, technological strength for the nation, and warmth from everyone around them.
Ye Xuan: I hold the script of the future in my hands, all so I can protect your honest and untroubled life.
Bai Lu: I chase the dazzling stars, and whenever I look back, you’re always there.
From sharing a rental in Hang City to meeting at the summit, from silent protection to falling for each other.
It's so beautiful. Come and watch it.
