The Delicate, Timid Princess Goes Wild and Even Dares to Imprison the Heir

Everyone in the capital knew that Commandery Princess Shi Qingyan of Yongan was a coward.

When it came to the man she loved, Heir of the Duke of Jing'an Lu Jingheng, she didn't even dare meet his eyes. For five years, all she dared to do was clutch a handkerchief embroidered with his name and secretly watch him from the shadows.

But when she learned that Lu Jingheng had personally petitioned the court to serve on the frontier, and the royal family was still debating whether to approve his request, the princess who had spent half her life cowering went mad.

She staked her reputation and her family on it. At the farewell banquet, she drugged the spirited young heir and locked him away in the Warm Jade Pavilion outside the city.

Cold black iron chains clasped his wrists. Shi Qingyan clutched the end of the chain, her voice trembling, her gaze obsessive. "My lord, you'll face almost certain death if you go. If you leave, I'll have nothing left."
