Ye Fan's growth is used to connect China's social changes in the past decades: the Feng Shui of township enterprises in the 1980s, the rise of real estate in the 1990s, and the Feng Shui of Internet companies in the new century. The villain is an "evil master" organization that survived the Republic of China. They use Feng Shui to do illegal things. Ye Fan cooperated with the "Special Advisor" agency with an official background, and together with his brothers, launched a secret war with this organization that spanned decades.
