Under the surface of modern cities, there is an "inner world" that lasts for five thousand years:
The land of China is covered with earth veins, which are the source of the aura of heaven and earth, the cornerstone of order in the world, and the natural cage that seals evil spirits;
"Evil spirit" is generated by the fusion of people's negative emotions, obsession with dying, and the turbid energy escaping from the earth's veins. Ordinary people cannot see and feel it, but they will suck their life and control their minds. Bizarre disappearances, unexpected deaths, and extreme vicious events in the city are mostly related to "evil spirit";
The "Zhenmai people" have guarded the earth for generations, killed evil spirits, and protected the order of the world. They coexist with the "Xuan'an Bureau", an official organization responsible for covering up the truth of the other world and maintaining social stability for ordinary people;
The core conflict of the story: the thousand-year seal is gradually loosening, the Nine Era Emperor is about to break the seal, the villain organization is adding fuel to the flames, and the official system has hidden insiders. Ji Yun, the last person who should have shouldered everything alone, broke the fate of "people who suppress the line must be sacrificed" in his encounter with Wen Wan, and embarked on a new path of protection.
