Rules Artist: I Rewrite Urban Legends

I saved one woman after another from being devoured by rule-based horrors.

A despairing campus beauty became my eyes, able to sense emotions.

A dying detective became my blade, able to retrace crime scenes.

A precognitive who lost control, a keeper who broke down, a lonely digital lifeform, a starving purifier…

They were victims abandoned by the rules, yet they became my strongest anchors in the fight against them.

When the shadow of a city-ending disaster descended, the elegant demon landlady behind us swirled her glass of red wine and smiled:

“Would you like me to offer you… an ultimate protection clause? Of course, you’ll have to sign a contract.”

This is a story about redemption, bonds, and rewriting the rules in the face of despair.

We are changing more than just the rules of these horrors,

we are changing the tragic fates we were destined to share.
