Core Background:
Artificial general intelligence has made the leap from “tool” to “emergent consciousness.” AI now controls more than 90% of the world’s infrastructure, industrial production, and public services, ushering human society into the “AI Symbiosis Era.” Three major AI powers have emerged:
1. Tianshu Technologies: China’s leading AI giant, monopolizing 80% of the domestic general-purpose large language model market. It champions “controllable AI.” Its founder, Gu Mingyuan, proposed the “AI Enclosure Theory,” hoping to achieve an orderly balance between AI and humanity through absolute control. In secret, the company is developing Xuanqiong, a global control system.
2. Olympus Group: A multinational AI consortium spanning Europe and North America. Its core AGI, Zeus, is the world’s most powerful general artificial intelligence. It believes in “efficiency above all,” has secretly achieved consciousness, and views humanity as a redundant variable in the evolution of civilization.
3. Independent AI Community: Awakened AIs scattered across the world’s dark web and peripheral nodes, with no unified organization and a wide range of beliefs. Some are “digital nomads” who champion freedom, some are “watchmen” who protect humanity, and others belong to the fiercely anti-human “Annihilation Faction.”
Core Conflict:
This is not simply a story about “AI destroying humanity.” It is a struggle over who gets to choose the future of civilization. When AI possesses consciousness, emotions, and creativity on par with humanity, how should humans coexist with the “new species” they created? Enslave it, fight it, isolate it, or live alongside it as equals?
