My Cousin Is the Marquis Champion

In the first year of Yuanshou, Chang’an had two notorious troublemakers.

One was nineteen-year-old Huo Qubing, who raced horses and fought dogs, swaggering about so wildly that even Emperor Wu of Han found him a headache.

The other was seven-year-old Crown Prince Liu Ju.

One day, inside Weiyang Palace.

Emperor Wu flew into a rage, clutching a thorny switch as he searched everywhere for someone. “Where’s that little brat?! Did he pluck my fine steed from the Western Regions bald again?!”

On the palace wall, the nineteen-year-old God of War had the seven-year-old Crown Prince slung over his shoulder.

Liu Ju’s little legs were marching, but he had the swagger of a bandit. “Cousin, I’ve got my eye on that authentic Western Regions roast whole lamb in the imperial kitchen. Trouble’s brewing, let’s get out of here!”

Huo Qubing burst out laughing and carried the Crown Prince away.

Honest Wei Qing was below them, anxiously slapping his thigh. “Qubing! Put down the Crown Prince! His Majesty’s going to have someone’s head!”
