The day she was abandoned at the welfare home's doorstep, the little girl clutched half a moldy piece of bread, thinking she would spend the rest of her life huddled against the cold wind. Then a man in a suit crouched down and wiped away her tears with a warm hand. "Come home with me. From now on, you'll be the little princess of the Su family."
No one could have guessed that this skinny little girl, thin as a bean sprout, was a walking good-luck charm.
The project her eldest brother had failed to secure suddenly came through after she touched his finger, and the other party changed their mind. Her second brother was stuck on a piece of music, but after she hummed a few notes, inspiration came pouring in. Her third brother couldn't solve an equation, but the circles she casually drew gave him a sudden insight. Even the sick cat in the house could run and jump again after she held it.
The entire Su family was completely smitten:
"Little darling, want to try these imported strawberries?" (Her eldest brother presents a fruit platter.)
"Sis, look! I just won this limited-edition doll for you!" (Her second brother proudly holds up his trophy.)
"I'll explain this problem ten times, and I promise you'll understand..." (Her third brother adjusts his glasses, the tips of his ears turning red.)
The little girl, bottle in mouth, looks at her brothers, who would love to pluck the stars from the sky for her, and suckles on her bottle. "Brothers, why are you so good to me?"
Her eldest brother lifts her above his head and smiles tenderly. "Because you're a gift from heaven to us."
