At the bottom of the sky, last of the Featherfolk, a crow opened its eyes.
Deep within his soul sea, the fading echoes of the Chaos Bell stirred memories of the primordial age. It had once hung high above Tang Valley, illuminating the thirty-three heavens. At its every toll, an era of the Demon Court began.
Now the calamity of the Journey to the West was about to begin. Immortals and Buddhas moved the pieces, while all living beings became pawns.
And he, a black-feathered crow despised even by lesser demons, would peck at the rosy mists of the Peach Garden and roost beneath the eaves of Spirit Mountain, stealing one wisp after another of the scattered True Sunfire right under the eyes of all the gods and Buddhas.
From the Black Nest to Fusang, from black feathers to golden plumes. When the Chaos Bell rang out through the Three Realms once more, the “ill-omened bird” once knocked from the sky by the Monkey King’s staff had spread its wings to blot out the heavens and stood atop the ruins of the Sun God Palace.
“Today marks the day I return.”
“The Demon Court shall rise again across the thirty-three heavens.”
(In short: Through its own efforts and a little “insignificant” help from the Chaos Bell, a small crow transforms. Using all sorts of schemes, it ultimately achieves Primordial Unity in the world of Journey to the West and rebuilds the Demon Court.)
Probably a single heroine: Yunxiao. (Not sure; she’ll probably appear in the middle or later stages, since her cultivation level is far too high.)
