Designer Lin Wan picked up a black cat on a rainy night and named it Mo Ying. At the same time, spiritual energy around the world is resurrected, animals are awakening to intelligence, and humans are awakening to extraordinary abilities. Lin Wan, retired soldier Chen Feng, and psychology student Su Tang formed a "Night Watch" team to fight side by side with their spiritual pets.
However, the rift expands, and the dark organization "Gate of the Abyss" joins forces with Mo Ying's former kin, the Night Furies, in an attempt to open the door to another world.
