Sharp Knife Company platoon leader Lin Xiangnan, a scholar platoon leader who was ridiculed as "Lin Daiyu" by his comrades, and company commander Shi Potian, a tough guy who regarded death as home, went from confrontation to understanding in the flames of war, and finally used their lives to interpret the military oath. The story uses a photo and three suicide notes as clues to uncover the grievances and grievances between two generations spanning twenty years. Amidst the gunfire and gunpowder smoke on the banks of the Red River, a heroic hymn about loyalty, sacrifice and redemption is sung.
