A Hundred Million or Tsinghua and Peking University?

The college entrance exams had just ended. Lin Mo was eating watermelon while a reporter on TV interviewed random passersby: “If you could choose between a hundred million yuan and guaranteed admission to Tsinghua or Peking University, what would you pick?”

One after another, people chose the latter, expounding on the wisdom that “knowledge changes your destiny.”

Just then, a mechanical voice sounded in Lin Mo’s mind.

[Host detected facing a “choice of destiny.” Please decide: A. Guaranteed admission to Tsinghua or Peking University; B. One hundred million yuan in cash.]

“Do I even have to think about it?” Lin Mo answered without hesitation. “I choose B. A hundred million.”

He thought it was a hallucination, until a black card with no spending limit and a string of bank account digits turned his world upside down.

When the new semester began, the aloof top student and campus beauty he’d secretly loved ran into him on campus. Seeing “Jiangnan Arts College” on his admission letter, she frowned in disdain.

Su Qingqian: “Lin Mo, I never thought you’d let yourself sink so low. Are you really giving up your future for money?”

Lin Mo lazily yawned and pointed to a lively junior student nearby, waving enthusiastically at him.

Lin Mo: “The future is too far away. I only care about making the most of today. Look, my ‘today’ is right here. As for you… at most, you’re my ‘what a pity.’”

He thought his life as a happy slacker began when he got his hundred million.

But he never expected that the top student and campus beauty who should have been looking down on everyone from Tsinghua or Peking University, the fiery art student, and the kind, gentle beauty professor… would all end up fighting over his “today.”
