No romance while cultivating; no cultivation while in love. This is a story of a master and her disciples, with no romance.
After Yun Li fails her tribulation, she vanishes from the cultivation world and somehow crashes into a horde of zombies.
She wants to find a spiritual leyline and return home to keep cultivating, but five “deadweight” latch onto her: a cold-faced, stubborn mule of a big brother, a chatterbox arsonist, a plant-pot terrorist, a base construction foreman, and a gentle healing sister.
Each of her five disciples has their own tragic story, but they all look at her the same way: “Master, please take us with you!”
Yun Li is at her wits’ end. “I just want to go home. I don’t want to be a homeroom teacher at the base!”
Later, someone asks Yun Li, “Do you regret it?”
Yun Li: “Do I regret it? Of course I do. I regret not meeting them sooner.”
After all, these poor kids might really be able to save the world.
And save her, too.
