[No romance, strong female lead, episodic supernatural cases, grows stronger by devouring souls]
Fifty years ago, the Spirit Fox clan was wiped out through a joint effort by the Yin-Yang Alliance. Hu Lingrong was the only surviving descendant.
Taken in by the Wujiao Pavilion, she concealed her identity and opened a Yin-Yang Agency, hoping only to scrape by and wait for death.
That is, until one bizarre case after another came knocking.
A wealthy woman keeps waking in the middle of the night. What is hanging upside down from her ceiling?
A male star suddenly goes berserk on set. Who is knocking on the window outside a high-rise building?
Men in a village are all possessed. Why can the sound of opera be heard by the roadside at midnight?
While others grow stronger through cultivation, she does it by devouring souls.
She swallows a villain's soul and her power surges. She simply steals the copper coin sword passed down only to the masters of Chenzhou Temple. When Chenzhou Temple surrounds her at the Yin-Yang Alliance gathering, she flips the table instead.
The deeper she investigates, the more shocking the truth becomes: the Spirit Fox clan's destruction was part of a vast conspiracy.
“Since you insist on calling me a remnant, then I'll show you: the true Spirit Fox clan has returned.”
