[Unconventional Infinite Worlds + Tech-Tree Development + Mecha Girls + Civilization Building + Office Worker Savior + Comedic Banter]
Three days after I was so furious over a novel’s unfinished ending that I literally died, I was about to be cremated when a goofy Heavenly Dao calling itself the “Multiverse Overtime Office” yanked me out of the incinerator.
Hey, wage slave, wake up. There are 99 worlds waiting for you to save them.
I looked at the apocalyptic scene before me, drenched in blood by the bizarre creatures, and immediately blew my top. “Where’s my cheat? Where’s my System? You expect me to go die empty-handed?!”
A palm-sized mecha girl suddenly popped into view. Her hair was tied in twin tails, and her mechanical wings flapped busily.
“Hello, Host~ The [Black Tech Vault] System is at your service! This System provides a complete technology tree, with everything from steam engines to dimensional foil! However, Heavenly Dao regulations require all powers to affect only the natives~ You yourself... well, you’re still an ordinary person!”
Me: “?”
So I’m here to be an NPC’s technical consultant? Am I some fragile Tang Monk or what?
In the first world, a bizarre army was bearing down on the city, and everyone had given up hope.
I calmly patted the city lord on the shoulder and handed him a blueprint. “Hey, you’ve got good bones. Here, take this "Railgun: From Beginner to Expert". I’m counting on you.”
Later, a legend spread across the 99 apocalyptic worlds:
Whenever despair struck, a lazy man would descend from the heavens, accompanied by an unbearably cute mecha girl. He never fought. He only handed out blueprints.
He would lean against the city wall, yawn, and casually say:
“Don’t panic. The tech tree’s unlocked. Let me call the shots, and we’ll be as steady as a rock.”
As for me, I just wanted to finish these 99 jobs as fast as possible and get back to reading novels.
