“The aloof, restrained top student who’s been plotting for ages × the sweet, healing underachiever who’s the apple of his eye”
I was always at the bottom of the class, while he was the untouchable first-ranked student.
Our only connection was that he lent me his notes to copy every day.
Then one day, I accidentally turned in an assignment with a scrap of paper covered in his name tucked inside.
The whole class erupted. I thought my most mortifying moment was about to begin.
But he walked over to me in front of everyone, his ears red, and said:
“You’ve been copying my notes for ages. Want to… try a different arrangement and let me tutor you?”
Later, someone asked him why he liked that silly girl in particular.
He smiled tenderly. “Because ever since our second year of high school, she’s tucked one of my favorite strawberry candies into my notes whenever she returns them.”
