The Time Cage: The Dead Man’s Double

Former criminal investigator Lu Chen was trapped on March 17.

For everyone else, it was just another day. For him, it meant dying to save someone: one death, one life saved.

With a detective’s keen eye and cool head, he turned the endless loop into a god’s-eye game: predicting danger, identifying targets, setting traps, breaking through dead ends, and tracking down the mastermind.

Each death was not torture, but a bargaining chip for gathering information and refining his plans.

In the cycle, he exposed loopholes in the rules; amid the repetition, he rooted out a hidden mole; between life and death, he uncovered a shocking conspiracy.

While everyone thought he was merely a prisoner forced to die in someone else’s place, Lu Chen had already used twenty-two deaths to set the ultimate trap, one that would overturn both his origins and his fate.
