Twenty-Five Histories: History of the Ming Dynasty

This book was compiled under the orders of Zhang Tingyu and others in the Qing Dynasty. It is the longest and most rigorous compilation among the Twenty-Four Histories. After nearly a hundred years, it has been repeatedly revised by many scholars. The narrative is clear and the materials are carefully drawn. It systematically records the political system, economic taxes, cultural ideas and major historical events of the Ming Dynasty.
