A cast-out disciple. He was once an inner sect disciple of Xuanyang Sect, the foremost orthodox sect. After being framed for colluding with the demonic path, his spiritual root was destroyed and he was expelled from the sect, leaving him an ordinary mortal struggling to survive in a border town.
Cultivation talent: a fake good-for-nothing who rises to the top. After his spiritual root was destroyed, he unexpectedly awakened the hidden Devouring Spirit Root within him. It can devour other people's spiritual energy, cultivation techniques, and even souls to increase his strength, but every time he devours something, he is corrupted by inner demons.
His driving obsession: revenge and uncovering the truth. He intends to take revenge on the sect leaders who framed him and expose the truth behind Xuanyang Sect's secret collusion with the demonic path and its manipulation of the cultivation world.
The contradiction in his nature: On the surface, he is cold and ruthless, stopping at nothing to achieve his goals, even if it means sacrificing the innocent. Yet deep down, he still has a trace of compassion for the weak. In particular, when he meets people who have suffered as he has, his ruthless actions reveal a barely perceptible hesitation.
