Impostors Descend, and I'm in the Security Booth

[No System] + [Impostors] + [Doomsday] + [Superpowers]

Disaster struck without warning, and terrifying impostors descended upon the world. These humanoid creatures survive by preying on people. Every person they devour brings them one step closer to evolving: from hideous monsters with twisted appearances and broken speech, they gradually transform into flawless beings indistinguishable from humans, and even awaken terrifying Superpowers. Human civilization collapses, and gated communities become the last safe havens. Their entrances are the final line between life and death for thousands of residents.

Long Qiu, a veteran and an ordinary security guard, is appointed the sole screener at Xinghewan just as Doomsday begins. Vehicles are barred, outsiders are strictly controlled, and everyone must undergo a one-on-one interview with him before they can enter the safe zone.

A sickly old man, a pregnant woman seeking help, a missing homeowner, an office worker returning home… Impostors assume countless identities and make up a million different excuses, all to fool the screener, sneak into the community, and slaughter its residents. Every conversation is a battle of wits; every person he lets through could mean life or death.

When an impostor is killed, a strange crystal forms in its brain. The higher its level, the more potent its effects. Consuming one can strengthen the body and awaken Superpowers. With his exceptional powers of observation, Long Qiu sees through disguise after disguise, growing stronger amid the bloody hunt as he searches for the truth behind the world.
