Three Kingdoms: Last on the Rankings, Kicked Out by Dong Zhuo from the Start

Zhang Fan transmigrates to the Three Kingdoms era and becomes Zhang Liao's older brother. He is desperately trying to figure out how to escape from Dong Zhuo's service.

A golden ranking list appears from the heavens, and to his surprise, he comes in last on the Top Generals list.

Dong Zhuo flies into a rage. “My son Fengxian is the greatest warrior under heaven. How can my camp tolerate a man ranked dead last? Get out!”

Zhang Fan couldn't be happier. He takes his younger brother and flees Luoyang.

Dong Zhuo lets them go, but Li Ru refuses to let the matter rest and sends pursuers after them.

On the road through Qingzhou, they encounter the three Liu brothers, who are being hunted by the Yellow Turbans.

Zhang Fan uses a simple trick: he lights a fire and raises smoke, then sets wolves against tigers. As he chats and laughs, the two groups of pursuers turn on each other and fight to the death.

Liu Bei is amazed by his talent, but Zhang Fan merely smiles. “My lord, there's no need to seek refuge with Gongsun Zan. Give me a month, and I'll raise three thousand troops for you! You'll become a warlord in your own right!”

Several months later, eighteen allied warlords march against Dong Zhuo.

Seated inside Luoyang, Dong Zhuo is overcome with regret.

Li Ru is dead, and Lü Bu has rebelled.

Dong Zhuo looks up at the sky and sighs. “Zhang Fan, Zhang Fan! I really should have killed you back then!”
