I Helped an Elderly Man, and Now Hong Kong's Elite Are Trying to Shake Me Down!

Hong Kong's powerful elite x a Shanghai inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, devoted to each other

She'd heard that her family had arranged a childhood betrothal for her, but Zong Fei already had a boyfriend.

Unfortunately, he cheated on her.

When her best friend found out, she told her to go to Hong Kong and take her mind off things.

Zong Fei really went, and even did a good deed by helping an old lady cross the street.

The old lady seemed easygoing, but her grandson was powerful and influential, and absolutely refused to listen to reason.

Oh no!

Wasn't this Zong Fei's first love, the one that had ended without a future...?

But he didn't seem to recognize her?

He “detained” Zong Fei in Hong Kong, claiming he was holding her accountable, when in reality he treated her like royalty.

-

Once, Zong Fei accidentally wandered into an afternoon tea gathering of socialites and wealthy wives.

The conversation here always came around to the young master of the illustrious Shang family.

Overwhelming wealth, a face that could stun the world.

Someone joked, “No need to say more! Mr. Shang's special talent is... special.”

Everyone understood and covered their mouths, laughing as they called her a pervert.

Zong Fei was a beat slow to catch on. Blushing and flustered, she turned to look out the window.

Little did she know, the man at the center of the conversation was stepping out of a black Bentley, his bearing distinguished and aristocratic.

The man's brief glance caught Zong Fei's flustered, wandering gaze.

The lively chatter inside continued.

“Look at that straight, high nose of his. What woman could resist?”

The conversation got more and more risqué.

Zong Fei couldn't sit still any longer and wanted to step outside for some fresh air.

“Baby, what are you talking about?” The man walked over and leaned down, planting a light kiss on Zong Fei's cheek as if no one else were there. “Why's your face so hot?”

Zong Fei lifted her eyes slightly and thought, We're talking about how good you are.
