Letters from the Deep Palace

Dongxia entered the palace at sixteen. A food lover by nature, she was clever and kind, but also cautious. Her reason for entering the palace was simple: she wanted enough to eat. Working in the palace of a lovestruck Noble Consort, she gradually grew from a timid maid into someone bold enough to plan her own future. Because the Noble Consort cherished the lives of fish, Dongxia met the male lead, Song Yi, while releasing fish. He seemed to be a bullied eunuch or guard near the Cold Palace, but was actually a member of the emperor’s secret guard, the Night Owls. After a tragic incident, he had become gloomy and withdrawn, but Dongxia’s innocence and delicious food healed him. What kind of story will unfold between them?
