Genshin Impact: The Seven Archons Treat Me Like Their Darling in Teyvat

The highlights: powerful characters losing their composure, emotional tension, and suspenseful hooks

My name is Qiqi. I’m a little zombie who gathers herbs for Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue.

My memory isn’t very good, but they say

Grandpa Zhongli accompanies me on my herb-gathering trips every day and says, “After six thousand years alive, I finally have something to look forward to.”

The Raiden Shogun steps out of her Plane of Euthymia for me and says, “Eternity is no match for a piece of candy.”

Nahida takes my hand and says, “So we’ve known each other all along.”

I don’t know why, but all the big names in Teyvat are fighting to spoil me.

Hu Tao wants to take care of my “business,” but I turn her away.

Kaeya wants to show off his cavalry, so I ask, “Where’s your horse?”

Arataki Itto wants to take me on as his little sister, but Kuki Shinobu drags him away.

Then one day, a wail echoes from deep within the Irminsul,

and a memory that doesn’t belong to this world awakens in my mind:

“Guardian, the spark of civilization… I’m counting on you…”

Looking at the Seven who stand in front of me,

I ask softly:

“If I told you I wasn’t an ordinary Qiqi, would you still spoil me?”

Zhongli crouches down and pats my head.

“Whoever you are, you’re still our Qiqi.”
