At the end of a demolition alley in the old district stands the Idle Treasures Shop, which accepts unwanted things but never charges a cent.
The owner is a quiet, middle-aged man with gray at his temples. He has just one condition for taking in an old item: tell him, “Why did you throw it away?”
Every discarded item is tangled up with its owner's unspoken obsessions, selfish desires, cowardice, and hypocrisy. After night falls, the items manifest in the shop and reenact their owners’ absurd tragedies. The supernatural is obsession made tangible, and each ending is a biting reflection of human nature.
Each chapter features one old item and one standalone story. They are unrelated and never repeat, each showing the strange distortion of ordinary people’s everyday lives.
