The Wan Zhou Clan: A Chronicle of Four Generations Under One Roof on Blue Star

The universe established order, and life took root on Blue Star. The seven continents gave rise to the Seven Ancestors of the Myriad Lands, while countless local customs and landscapes took human form. To end conflict and build harmony, the Universal Neighborhood Committee ordered the cultures, customs, and features of every people around the world to be personified and moved into the Blue Star Compound, where they would live according to the generations of an extended family of four generations under one roof. Each land gave rise to its own lineage, and the myriad local ways of life became family members. From then on, the whole world lived together in one courtyard.

In the compound, the Eastern Continent clan, led by Donghua Jun, is the most prosperous. Warm and dependable, Donghua Jun runs the household with care, while his twenty-four branch officials each bring the character and customs of their region: the dignified and courteous Beijing-style Young Master, the refined and capable Shanghai-style Young Master, the gentle and culinary-minded Cantonese Young Master, the bold and fiery Sichuan Young Master, the generous and righteous Shandong Young Master, the elegant and graceful Suzhou Young Master... Every one of them is lively and entertaining, with their own quirks. Their everyday lives are full of laughter and bustle.

Meanwhile, the refined gentlemen of the Western Garden, the stalwart souls of the Northern Continent, the passionate inhabitants of the Southern Continent, the easygoing spirits of the islands, and the quiet, watchful folk of the ice fields all move into the compound as well. Different cuisines, manners, customs, and personalities collide, giving rise to countless hilarious everyday moments. Those who love spice bicker with those who prize fresh flavors; those who enjoy peace and quiet live beside those who love a commotion. The generations keep their proper order, yet the household is always lively. Amid all the noise lies warmth.

With a lighthearted, comedic style of personification, this book imagines the customs and ways of life of countries and regions around the world, weaving culture, traditions, and regional character into the daily life of one big family. There are no dry lectures or sensitive controversies, just warm, healing stories that showcase the customs of the myriad peoples.

Discover the world through laughter, and glimpse unity in family reunions. This is a record of the customs of all the peoples of Blue Star, and a song of life shared by four generations under one roof
